Garden Blooms

It’s been a long time since I updated my blog here. As I only have my cellphone now and my tab used as cameras, I am not taking more pictures. This morning though, I was at the garden looking at some  summer blooms and I can’t help but take these shots with my tab.

My two jackfruit trees are bearing fruits again. I counted, there were about twenty of them excluding the two  young fruits I harvested earlier to cook in coconut cream. My family loves Guinataang Langka.  That’s what we call it here.

My shrimp plants are blooming too. They are here everywhere in the garden.  Even my sweet-scented Amazon Lilies are bearing flowers.

The morning sun is trying to show its face in these lovely shrimp plants.  I wish I could just point my cellphone camera in the beauty of my small garden.

About arlene

It's been some years since I started this blog. Supposedly, it was only to share my plight as a cancer patient and survivor but over the years it has somehow evolved into something personal about my life and my family. So really glad to have met you all wonderful people out there. Someone commented once that he liked the title of this blog, Dreams and Escapes. Dream on, there are more things in life than we really think. Be happy, you only live once. Sometimes you also need an escape from the vicissitudes of life and this blog helps me cope. Welcome. Feel free to leave your comments, I do welcome them.

Wow! So nice to pick up the fruits from your garden and cook. We too cook raw jackfruit in coconut gravy and spices. It is one of my all time favorites!

The flowers too look so bright and vibrant. Would definitely like to see more of your beautiful garden Arlene!
